Policies
At Amuse Performing Arts Studio, we want every dancer to feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. These policies explain what families can expect from us and what we ask of everyone in our studio community. Please review them before enrolling, and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Tuition, costumes, and withdrawals
Families are responsible for tuition and costume payments by the published due dates. Late fees may apply to overdue accounts, and students with unpaid balances may be unable to attend class, receive costumes, or perform. Seriously overdue balances may be referred for collection.
To withdraw from a class, complete the drop through the parent portal before the 25th of the month to avoid tuition for the next month. If you need help, email info@sherrisdancecenter.com before the 25th. Absence from class does not count as withdrawal. Tuition already charged is nonrefundable under our tuition policy.
Attendance and performances
Regular, on-time attendance helps dancers progress and allows their classmates to rehearse together. Please notify the studio when your dancer will be absent, especially during performance preparation. Performance dates, rehearsals, participation requirements, and costume details will be shared for each show. Dancers may be unable to perform if they miss a required dress rehearsal.
Our season generally runs from late August through the Spring Dance Concert in May. Check the studio calendar and official studio announcements for closures, weather updates, summer programs, and performance dates.
Arrival, pick-up, and the waiting area
Parents are responsible for timely drop-off and pick-up; the studio does not provide supervision outside scheduled class time. Please bring dancers in Level 3 and below to the door and meet them there after class. If you are unexpectedly delayed, contact the studio immediately.
Adults and siblings are welcome to leave or stay during class. If you decide to stay parents and family members should remain in the lobby during class time. Please take crying siblings outside, and do not interrupt a class or private lesson except in an emergency. Give messages or items for a dancer to a staff member. Classroom observation is available through the viewing windows in our lobby.
Conduct and concerns
Students, families, and staff must treat one another with respect. Disruptive behavior, threats, harassment, and bullying in person or online may result in a conversation with the director, removal from a class, suspension, or dismissal. We will consider the circumstances and work with families when appropriate; behavior that presents an immediate safety concern may require immediate action.
Please report bullying or other concerns to the director promptly. Meetings can be arranged by email. Do not post another dancer’s identifying information or share private studio or family information online.
Dress, belongings, and instruction
Dancers should follow the dress code for each class, secure hair away from the face, and remove jewelry that could interfere with movement. See the current dress code for class-specific clothing and shoe requirements. The studio is not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.
Teachers may use appropriate hands-on corrections and spotting to teach alignment and movement safely. Please speak with the director about any questions or needs related to physical instruction.
Schedules and studio materials
The studio may adjust instructors or schedules when needed and will communicate changes to affected families. Studio choreography and original instructional materials may not be reproduced or sold without permission.
